East Renfrewshire Council Corporate Procurement - Capelrig House
Overview
East Renfrewshire Council in partnership with BiP have created a procurement portal, commonly known as a buyer profile, which facilitates the publication of contract notices and provides suppliers with instant access to council opportunities. This is a completely new enhancement to our website and offers suppliers the ability to view contract announcements in real time using BiP Solutions e-notice service project. Project facilitates the placing of EU and non EU public notices which immediately publishes the information from these notices onto the procurement portal.
Background
The European Commission recommends in the Consolidated Procurement Directive that authorities provide their purchasing and procurement information via a buyer profile and this facility has been incorporated in this procurement portal. The buyer profile provides information on purchase plans, contract details and future, current and past contracts. Publishing this information affords suppliers the opportunity to identify future opportunities, respond to current opportunities and to view which suppliers have already been awarded contracts along with the goods and/or services purchased.
